We had our annual meeting last Sunday and the minutes will be on the website very soon for you to see the detailed discussion. To get into the members area the password is ‘garlic’.
We discussed the size of the scheme and the amount of work it takes to keep it running. One of the ways we’re hoping to involve members more is by improving our communications. Watch this space!
We agreed to move the Grow at Home scheme to Marlpit from October. Those of you who are on this scheme can continue but will need to go to Marlpit Community Garden to collect your seeds and plants. Some of our GO2 growers who also took on council plots were allowed to be members of Grow at Home to get seeds, plants, tools and muck for their council plots. They will no longer be able to do this, but will, of course, be able to continue in the normal way as GO2 members. Support for allotment holders is available from the Bluebell Allotment Association; see their website at http://www.bluebellallotments.co.uk/
|We agreed to put up signs in our car park to remind people that the spaces are for Blue Badge holders or less able people who need to come to GO2 by car. Other growers who come by car are asked to park in nearby streets.|
