Herb Walk

For those who missed it the first time, we’re repeating the Herb Walk on Sunday 10th August.

There are at least forty different herbs scattered in communal areas around the GO2 allotments. We’ll take a map of the site and attempt to plot them, discussing their culinary and medicinal uses as we go.

Meet at the big shed at 11am for about an hour’s walk.

Thanks to those who brought all the lovely food to share last Sunday. We had a good turnout on a lovely day. One little point, could you please remember to take your containers home? Many thanks.

Jam Workshop

Jam making at the SLI office in West Earlham recently was great fun & educational. There were 10 people there learning how to jam using plums, greengages & damson. We were lucky enough to take a jar or two to use at home. I, personally, learnt quite a bit about how to use these fruits. By the way, the end result was delicious. Click here for photosJam-kit and

Any one out there prepared to share their skills in preserving, cooking, cake making? I’m looking to put a data base together of people who would be happy to show/share with others their particular skills. Please let me know if you want further details.

Many thanks.
