What to plant on your plot in July.

Perpetual Spinach and Carrots seeds can be sown in early July but it’s really too late for the other crops.
Courgettes, Squashes, Sweetcorn, Brassica and salad plants are available outside the polytunnel and between the greenhouse and poly tunnel, new plants are put out weekly, so keep checking what is ready to plant.
When planting all these plants remember they grow much larger so don’t put them too close together. During hot weather it is better to give them a lot of water twice a week rather than a little often.
The Brassicas – that is broccoli, sprouts, cauliflower and kale – all need to be covered in net to protect them from the birds.
