Want to know more?

Marlpit Community Garden (MCG) started in June 2013. It is a seven acres field in Marlpit Lane, Norwich, along the popular Marriott’s Way and close to the River Wensum. The site is divided into plots for individuals and families, plots for schools and community groups, forest garden, apiary, orchard, herb garden, wild-flower areas and meadows. Check out our interpretation map of the site!

As a plot-holder, you are responsible for looking after your plot and keeping the paths around your plot in order. MCG relies on the cooperation of all its growers and is run entirely by volunteers. We therefore expect you to give at least three days help a year towards managing the site and maintaining communal facilities.

MCG is a car-free zone; there are plenty of cycle stands but only a few car parking facilities for blue-badge holders.
